Our Company 

AirNav Ireland is a commercial semi-state company employing approximately 600 staff at six locations around Ireland. 

We provide air traffic management and related services including aeronautical communications and technical services within the 451,000km2 of airspace controlled by Ireland.

We employ over 200 air traffic controllers in Dublin, Cork and Shannon and 50 radio officers in Ballygirreen, Co. Clare to ensure the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic.

Our Purpose

Safety is our business and underlines everything we do. AirNav Ireland operates to the highest international safety standards set by;

• International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO);
• European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA);
• European Union (EU)

These guide us in ensuring that Irish civil aviation operates to the most stringent safety standards. In 2024, we continued to maintain our strong position on the CANSO/Euro Control Standard of Excellence in Safety Management Systems with a maturity score of 90%, which places Ireland in the top 10 Air Navigation Service Providers.
